BA - Elementary Education - Ohio University

M.Ed. - Gifted and Talented Education, Curriculum and Instruction - Ashland University

Ed.D. - Educational Leadership - University of Wyoming

My career in public education began in central Ohio, teaching 3rd grade and gifted education.  In my 33 years as an educator, I have served as a general education and gifted education teacher in grades K-5; directed TCSD’s gifted education program; Director of Curriculum & Instruction; Principal of Wilson, Alta, Kelly, and Moran Schools; Director of Teaching and Learning; co-Principal of Colter School; and JES/CES Reconfiguration Project Lead.

I am thrilled to begin my 9th year at Jackson Elementary, and am honored to serve the students, teachers, and parents as Principal.  I believe ALL students can learn in a safe and caring environment in concert with a dynamic and high-quality teacher, and through my leadership I will work with teachers and families to ensure our students are learning, and love to come to JES to learn!

My husband, Greg, is a 7th and 8th grade history teacher at Jackson Middle School, and I have 2 children in college, both graduates of TCSD and Jackson Hole High School

Principal's Message

Dear JES Families,

Welcome to the beginning of the 2025-26 school year!  We are excited to have our JES Falcons back to school.  At Jackson Elementary, we work as a team to help our students  SOAR!  Since we said goodbye to students in June, our facilities department, office and custodial staff, and teachers have been preparing for this new year.

I am honored to serve as the Jackson Elementary principal.  As a 25-year veteran of TCSD, I am thrilled to begin my 9th year as a member of the JES team.  Our staff works and collaborates together to make JES a safe, enjoyable, and stimulating environment for student learning.  We value the development and nurturing of relationships with our students and parents.  Getting to know all of the JES students and their families is important to me, so please take a moment to introduce yourself when you are visiting JES.

I’m looking forward to a great year of learning,

Tracy Poduska
